In 2010, having had Australian Shepherds for years and being involved in ranching, we were looking for the personality of the "big" dog but one we could keep in the house as a family pet. Needless to say, we fell in love with the Minis. Tawny, a red tri female, began our journey and called us to begin breeding Miniature American Shepherds. Today, we continue to move forward in a breeding program that produces the "look" of the larger dog in a smaller package with use of conscientious genetics to eliminate potential health problems.
COWGIRLS
Our parents are pedigreed by Champions and registered through the American Kennel club. Effective July 1, 2015 the Miniature American Shepherd gained full registry as a breed in the American Kennel Club - Herding Group. In the past, these dogs were called Miniature Australian shepherds.
